As soon as you're dead and rotten,

- Ben Franklin

Why do I do it?
My father was a part-time novelist. When he retired from business, he sat down and started writing a book he titled, “Dear Grandchildren.” It was the story of his life, written for his progeny so they would know something about him. He worked on it for years but circumstances dictated he would never finish it.

My dad died one year before my daughter was born. Though he didn't finish that book, I can't say how thankful I am he took the time to write what he did. It's something I'll share with my daughter and hopefully with her children.

Not every person is a writer or a documentarian. Not everyone has the time to sit down and tell their story, or the 30+ years' experience to craft it into something compelling.
I recognize the importance of legacy, of my daughter and her children knowing about my dad - and about me.
My path has included releasing #1 best-selling books and award-winning films. I know how to identify theme, craft character, and structure story. I've earned six-figure advances from major publishers and written screenplays with iconic producers of Oscar-winning films I bet you love. I've worked directly with, learned from, and advised titans of book & film.
But the stories I'm proudest of are the ones that mean everything to real people, and to their families.

I've interviewed/ ghostwritten for whistleblowers, war heroes, Olympians, Noble Prize-winning physicists, UN economists, Oracle VPs, sports legends, and rock stars. But nothing beats hearing clients say, "Thank you, Scott. You made my story amazing. In my own voice. Now my values, my story will outlast me. Now my grandchildren will know me."
Like my dad wanted.
Like I can do for you.

"The most important thing in life is how you move and touch those around you. And how that carries forward to the next generation. That’s what makes true greatness."
- Kobe Bryant
